pTau is back in the limelight again!

pTau is back in the limelight again!

There has been a recent DELUGE of amyloid beta papers being published in the field of AD, likely in response to a clear funding agenda (aka bias) to promote amyloid as the be-it-end-all pathophysiological mechanism of AD. If only AD was that simple! The fact is that that multiple pathologies (pTau, amyloid, inflammation, etc) and their interactions are essential factors in AD and may have varying pathophysiological roles based on a particular variant or presentation of the disease. This lovely study pushes us back in the right direction of considering all sides.
